1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of Scryptian (the "Service"), a desktop application that provides on-demand actions such as transcription, text-to-speech, and translation on a pay-per-result basis.

The Service is operated by Scryptian ("we", "us", "our").

2. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

3. The Service

Scryptian is a desktop application for Windows. It lets you select a file on your screen, press a hotkey, and run an action on that file. Actions are powered by third-party services and are billed per result.

4. Credits ("Slippers")

The Service uses a prepaid balance of credits called "Slippers". You purchase Slippers through Paddle. Each action has a price in Slippers, shown before you run it. Slippers are deducted when an action completes successfully.

5. Payments

All payments are processed by Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record. By making a purchase, you agree to Paddle's terms. Prices are shown before purchase and may change at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including but not limited to:

• Using the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempting to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service.
• Interfering with or disrupting the operation of the Service.
• Reselling or redistributing the Service without our written permission.

7. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that results will be accurate or fit for a particular purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
